Napier sets sixes record

Essex all-rounder Graham Napier made the second highest score in Twenty20 history against Sussex on Tuesday evening.

The 28-year-old smashed 152 not out from just 58 balls faced, hitting ten fours and a world record 16 sixes.

Napier's knock was just six runs short of Brendon McCullum's 158 not out, made in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders against Bangalore Royal Challengers.

Napier said afterwards: "It was a fantastic night for me, really awesome.

"I middled a few early on, started seeing the ball well and things just got better and better.

"It was just one of those days when everything seemed to go well. Even a bit of a mis-hit finished up going for six."
